Question #1: Give us a brief peek into your talk. What are the key take aways?

B: The core message that I want everyone to take back is that the Human Experience (HX) is more than a number. With any kind of advancement in technology, any amount of automation – we cannot ever reach a state where human element becomes irrelevant. Humans are evolving just as everything else around us and we have to always remember that.

Question #2: You have a great topic. Tell us the reasons you chose it?

B: I am very passionate about this topic. I have been in so many meetings where, numbers and metrics drive decisions. And I have been the advocate of understanding the story behind the metric. This is what drew me to the world of research in the first place and it still blows my mind every time I understand why a person took a certain action and where they are coming from. Its super interesting and will always remain important for all of us.

Question #3: We are glad you are joining us at IIEX APAC. What are you hoping to gain from this event?

B: I am excited to join IIEX APAC and participate in the interesting dialogue of ideas and trends. I love learning new things and I am hoping to learn something new about the users and how the cultural fabric is evolving post covid. IIEX APAC is an amazing forum to connect with other voices in the industry and understand their experiences, their perspectives.

Question #4: IIEX events focus on all things innovation in insights. What does research innovation mean to you?

B: Innovation in research is brimming with opportunities. There is just so much potential in all the tech advancements that are happening and presents us with a unique, never before, opportunity of understanding more of this human life and the world we live in. We just have to keep things in perspective and not get carried away in any single perspective. It is understanding how the pieces are making up the whole.

Question #5: Our industry is always evolving. What is the next big change you’d like to see?

B: I would love for the industry to be taken more seriously. Having a bigger seat at the table for research and design. Many a times we are still answering what’s the ROI on it? If we could somehow find a way to build a bigger community of research that is well connected, we can come up with ways of creating and showcasing a higher impact.

Question #6: Research Technology, or ResTech, is booming. How do you see this impacting us further?

B: Its going to get so much cooler and better and amazing. As tech is going to improve, so are the insights. It’s like, imagine the first-time humans saw themselves in a mirror and realized what they looked like. This picture is getting more and more clear as tech is evolving. Automation is great, if efficient. We just have to take care that it is always human guided automation. It will be scary if that goes the other way round.

Question #7: IIEX and GreenBook focus on the future of insights. What more do you think we can contribute?

B: Like I said before, there is a need to have bigger impact and voice on the table. IIEX APAC is a great way to amplify the voice of research community and weave a stronger connection. We have to show up for each other and emphasize the good contribution research makes to the world around us.
