Phil is a Partner at Quadrangle, where he is responsible for driving growth in new areas of research. Before Quadrangle, Phil served as Managing Director, EMEA at Research Now, and Managing Director UK at YouGov. Phil started his career in strategy consultancy before graduating to Sales & Marketing roles at Bradford & Bingley and the AA. Phil holds an MA in English and Russian from Oxford University. Phil blogs regularly at What+Why (http://whatpluswhy.wordpress.com/) exploring the intersection between Market Research and Customer Data. There's a lot of new stuff going on in Research (social, mobile, DIY, behavioural economics, communities) but he reckons the biggest opportunity and threat is in the availability and analysis of the vast and ever-expanding data sets on consumer behaviour which now exist inside and outside consumer businesses.
