Ken Raj Leslie, Ph.D. is Senior Manager, Client Neuroscience Services at Merchant Mechanics Inc., My academic and applied expertise is centered around neurocinematics and the neuroscience of play. My PhD in neuroscience focused on neural plasticity, and I have taught undergraduate neuroscience and psychology courses at Brandeis University and the University of Victoria. My published, peer reviewed research has been featured in Nature, NeuroImage, and the Journal of Neuroscience. I have researched diverse topics, including synaptic plasticity, mirror neurons, the science of sleep, lucid dreaming and indigenous language revitalization. My grant work for Dr. Michael Gazzaniga led to the creation of a prestigious National Science Foundation Science of Learning Center. I am also trained as a Systems Design Engineer and have worked for a variety of technology companies. I am a passionate community advocate, spear-heading local pro-bono projects and cultivating academic collaborations for Merchant Mechanics. I also founded an early social media website, and helped produce science stories for Good Morning America on ABC News.
