Leonard ‚"Lenny" Murphy has been in the Market Research industry for over 15 years in various senior level roles, most notably as CEO of full service agency Rockhopper Research, CEO of tech-driven start-up BrandScan360, and Senior Partner of strategic consultancy Gen2 Advisors. A major aspect of his work focuses on collaborating with multiple organizations to help advance innovation and strategic positioning of the market research industry, most prominently as the Editor-in-Chief of the GreenBook Blog and GreenBook Research Industry Trends Report, 2 of the most widely read and influential publications in the global insights industry. Mr. Murphy is a key consultant to numerous insight-focused organizations on both the supplier and client side and an advisor to several technology focused start-ups via his consulting practice. He is involved with multiple organizations including the Insight Innovation Exchange, The ARF, NY AMA, NewMR & MRGA. He also Chairs and produces conferences globally and speaks about the future of insights and how to deliver maximum business impact at many events annually. He lives in Atlanta, GA with his 6 (yes, 6!) children, Should- be-Sainted wife, and 3 clinically insane cats.

  Leslie Albright, Vice President, Market Research - Confirmit

Leslie Albright is Vice President, Market Research for Confirmit.  Her primary responsibilities are to oversee Confirmit’s market research client relationships and sales in the Americas. 

Prior to joining Confirmit in January 2016, Leslie led Affinnova’s expansion into Europe, growing the mid-size MR company’s research practice from its inception.  There, she worked with large multi-national CPG clients such as Nestle, Procter & Gamble, and key tobacco companies.  After Nielsen’s acquisition of Affinnova in 2014, Leslie returned to the States to oversee the launch of Kantar’s TGI business in the US.  Following that launch, Leslie worked with GutCheck, a Colorado based agile market research provider to help them develop their go-to-market strategy and expansion into Europe.

  Zach Simmons, Founder & CEO, Discuss.io

Zach Simmons is the Founder and CEO of Discuss.io, a consumer-connection platform for market research. Zach has 20 years of experience building web applications. Prior to founding Discuss.io, he was the Product Manager responsible for Amazon’s Cloud Storage platform (AWS S3). Zach is passionate about execution plays targeting underserved and overlooked industries. Zach holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

  Andrew Konya, CEO & Co-Founder, Remesh

Andrew Konya is the CEO and Co-Founder of Remesh - an NYC-based startup software company that has developed artificial intelligence for engaging, empowering, and understanding large groups of people. As a computational physicist, Andrew has spent the better part of the past decade developing and applying advanced computer algorithms to tackle challenges in food, material science, bio-sensing, traffic, image analysis, and language.

  Mark Simon, Managing Director, North America, Toluna

Mark Simon, Managing Director, North America, and Managing Director, Toluna Digital, brought with him a broad range of experience in market research, start-up acceleration, product launches, and new market development when he joined Toluna in 2005 as a founding member of the newly established UK office. Within two years, he was the Managing Director, a role he held before stepping into his current responsibilities in 2013.

Before his work at Toluna, Mark was a Client Development Director for Greenfield Online, a pioneer in internet research, which was acquired in 2009 by Toluna. He also held positions outside the digital research industry focused on data planning and direct marketing.

He holds a BSc degree in Business Economics and French from the University of Southampton.

  Ryan Barry, CRO, Zappistore

Ryan leads Zappi's global commercial function overseeing its sales, partnerships, marketing and client service functions and serves as a member of the firms executive leadership team. Prior to Zappi, Ryan worked for GMI, an online survey solution provider which was eventually acquired by Kantar and also started a dog car company which was sold in 2015 and a non profit aimed at raising money for less fortunate children. Ryan lives outside of Boston with his wife, son, daughter and two hound dogs and loves the great outdoors and Boston sports.
